Newsletter: The C'eilidh

The Provo/Orem area, Utah (about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City) is home to Brigham Young University (and nowadays, Utah Valley State College). Though the number of active SCA folk there is often large enough to support a shire, the transient nature of college students (half the population of the city of Provo, numerically, is college students) makes it hard to keep a steady roster of officers. Back in the early 1980s, the area made a stab at being a shire, and managed it for several years. I happen to have some copies of their newsletter, The C'eilidh, because one of my mundane sisters, Lady Eveleen the Unnoticed, was their first chronicler.

The Provo/Orem area is now the College of Arrow's Flight, and has been for at least ten years.
