| SG-13's first mission was to P6Y-691, known by the inhabitants as Uruk. An earlier survey by SG-1 found a huge ziggurat just outside the Stargate, which was currently held by the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al. The inhabitants of the planet near the Stargate were mostly peaceful farmers, but about seven kilometers from the Stargate was a mine that seemed to hold Ba'al's interest. The earlier survey indicated that naquadah was not being mined there. SG-13's mission is to discover, without alerting Ba'al to their presence, what is being mined and why Ba'al is interested in it. Their secondary mission is to explore the ziggurat and its surrounding outbuildings, which are very similar to buildings of the third millennium BCE (Before Common Era) on Earth. | ||
