WAR!
To arms! To arms! Good people of Am Mor Salann Fasach a crisis has arisen that will challenge all of us to rise and defend our land and people. Using the results of a challenge match as a ridiculous claim, Sir Theodric Lord Breken Beaken (Baron of Caerthe) has decided that Lady Jerilyn of Vert Silva of our fair shire should be a Caerthan and at Crown Tourney he attempted to carry her off bodily. Sir Robert de Spencer, Defender of the Shire (and, as we all know, "Conqueror of the Great Brine Shrimp") stepped forward in answer to her cries for help and demanded that Sir Theodric release her. In the strongly worded but chivalrous exchange of words that followed one thing became clear--the only resolution possible to this situation can be found in WAR! Master Sigmund, Warlord of Caerthe, was standing beside his baron and obviously felt that a warlord should have some spoils of war so he grabbed Lady Ferelith MacDonald and claimed that she would have to move to Caerthe along with Lady Jerilyn, just as soon as Caerthe won the War. Lord Avram the Jew (Sir Theodric's faithful and courtly squire) quickly followed the example of his knight and Lady Rhonwen y Llysieuydd who had just joined the group and claimed her for his war relic. And this before the fighting was even agreed to. Now good people of Am Mor Salann Fasach, help these poor ladies who are in grave danger of being forced to Caerthe. Some notable gentlemen have already agreed to come from other areas to assist us in defending That Which Is Ours. Viscount Master Gunwaldt Lord Ostermachen (Defender of Hastle Castle and therefore committed to assisting these particular ladies) and Viscount Sir Heinrich der Jaeger have already volunteered their services. It looks now as though the War will take place near Jericho Utah and so you are enjoined to prepare yourselves this coming spring to be a part of the Jericho Crusade. Protect your herald and chronicler! Save these three young ladies from a Fate Worse Than Death--having to leave our Shire. To arms! To arms!
