The members of Hastle Castle household did travel far to the Shire of Lonely Mountain to represent the Shire of Am Mor Salann Fasach at the Coronetting of Sir Wilhelm of the Bogs and Lady Megan Andoniel of Glengalen. After the long and wearying ride in a fire chariot, Lady Jerilyn, Lady Rhonwen, Lord Gallowglass and Lady Ferelith arrived thankfully at House Van Däg where they were welcomed and allowed to prepare for the festivities that evening.

After traveling with the friendly people of al-Barran on the Holy Grail School bus, the revel hall in Lonely Mountain was finally reached. Banners were hung and procession set up. Prince Heinrich and Princess Lorene held their final court. Lady Ælflæd of Duckford resigned from the position of Principality Seneschale and Lady Ferelith MacDonald was named as her successor, and was given her warrant and a symbolic key. (Lady Ælflæd was then made Kingdom Seneschale.) Lady Leah de Spencer was named as the new Principality Mistress of Arts and her warrant was presented to Lady Rhonwen to take home to her. Much other business was covered and then HH Heinrich most graciously presented a scroll to the Shire of Am Mor Salann Fasach calling them the "Pillars of the Outlands" and giving the Shire the privilege of always providing the salt for the Prince's table. Some money from the Principality coffers was then distributed to some of the Principality officers including Lady Ferelith and Lady Leah (Lady Jerilyn accepting for her.)

Sir Wilhelm of the Bogs strode forward to claim his coronet which HH Heinrich had just set down. Wilhelm proclaimed himself Prince of the Outlands and placed the coronet on his head. Lady Megan was brought forward and accepted her place as Princess. HH Wilhelm then placed the coronet on her head. The knights then swore fealty to their new prince. Sir Heinrich and Lady Lorene then were brought forward to receive coronets as viscount and viscountess. Lady Lorene chose to decline the honor and make a gift of the coronet to be used for the tanista. The Holy Coronation Stone of Atenveldt was brought forward for HH Wilhelm to stand on. TH Wilhelm and Megan then began their first court where Friar Orison Caird was warranted as the new seneschal of Am Mor Salann Fasach. Many gifts were presented to the new prince and princess, including stationery from our shire designed by Briony of Windermere.

After TH Wilhelm and Megan completed their court, Their Majesties Johann and Malinda came forward and held court. In the course of this court a gift of stationery from this shire was presented to Their Majesties that had been designed by Leiannka Zorya of Vert Leo. Lady Ælflæd of Duckford was also presented with some stationery designed by Briony of Windermere for her new office as Kingdom Seneschale.

When the long but interesting courts were over, the populace sat down to a delicious feast autocratted by Julia the Childless where everything from "doormice" to a pirate ship subtlety was consumed with great enjoyment. General revelry began after the meal until the wee hours of the morning when the tired/happy celebrants finally dispersed to their various homes.

Meistres Rhonwen welcomes others who were there in the early days adding their reminiscences--after over 25 years, her memory is a bit faulty, and much information has disappeared in the fog. E-mail her at [email protected].
